Responsibilities of a Pastor

1) We have forgotten that the 10 commandments are COMMANDMENTS and not OPTIONS

God is still God

2) One must also warn the people against quarreling about the interpretation of a particular word

The people who are around us dont see it as an intensive study, rather a divided collection that cannot agree

It discourages them from wanting to be involved with the body

3) Strive to become an approved workman of God, study on a continual basis, not an occassional circumstance

It shows when you have not been diligent in your study

With all the tools in the world one does not become a craftsman, but by learning the trade they become approved workmen

4) Avoid Godless controversies; citing two who preached things against the leading of God

Such controversial beliefs makes ones faith worthless, those who are stubborn in these errors are not to be aggressively communicated with (wash your hands of them)

Be gentle in your instruction so that those who oppose will be granted repentance by God; recognize that you cannot sway them but Good can (release them to him)

5) To remember to present yourself as a vessel cleansed of ignoble purpose that God may find nobility when your works are weighed out.

Allow yourself to be used by God as an instrument for righteousness

6) Avoid evil and pursue God

DO YOUR VERY BEST! MAKE NO HALF-HEARTED ATTEMPTS!!

For did he not, for us, present his best?

Are we not then indebted to present ours?
