Paul starts his letter to Timothy by counseling him to oppose false teachers. Some observations:

Teachers face the temptation that comes with being in front of people. The thrill of being in the spotlight can easily become more important that sticking to sound doctrine.

Paul say God's work is by faith. Is faith the driving force in all the work I do for God?

Paul says the point of opposing the false teachers is love. Do Christian leaders who argue about doctrine today have the same motivation. Do I?
