A] 18 characteristics (pt.1)
1) People will love only themselves and their money. 2) Proud, disobedient, ungrateful, and obedient. 3) Without love, unforgiving, for pleasure over God, treacherous. 4) They will have a form of godliness but will deny its power. Going to church for political gains in either the economy of your business or for selfish public approval because they see you there.
B] 2 Types of People from these:
1) (Weak willed persons) are visited often by those who would prey on them. Those who possess those characteristics and worm their way in through visitations to lead them astray; those who are the second type of people.
2) (Decievers and imitators) Those religious leaders with a counterfeit faith that deny the reality of sin only holding to the blessings and salvation.Satan is a great immitator of God. To be exposed (they are) and revealed to the multitudes as immitators. [turn away from them].
Paul knew Timothy's upbringing and that he had the foundation to resist and not ne found victim, if he was given adequate warning. He acted as a watchman and blew the horn for Timothy and in turn, all who were within his sphere of influence.
