Life Transitory. God Eternal.
How do we make our work permanent.
Our labour in God has eternal consequences. It is not in vain. All the problems in the world reveals that the World needs God and we need to live for something beyond our lives.
Implications:
1. Let us be found faithful. Busyness is not faithfulness. Chief expression of faithfulness is one who finishes well. Means to finish well? Repentance -> return to Him after falling. (David who loved God). We need to rise up and run again with purpose set right for Him. (confess. repent. immediate massive action)
2. Engage the will of God in our lives. Faithfulness is about doing the one thing that God has called us to do. How do you know to say no to other good things but say yes to the things of God. Don't look back once there is a big yes to the God thing.
3. Have wisdom above our own. It is found in the Word of God. Do a daily reading of the Word and this brings delight to our souls.
4. Have a strength beyond our own. Found in prayer for it shows our reliance on God.
