How to praise

"Give thanks" - the Hebrew "yadah" intimates a word picture of shooting arrows (of praise) heavenwards to God
"call on Him" - this might be more properly translated "cry out to Him," as the original implies a display of intense emotion
"make known His deeds" - this is knowledge in the intimate, experiental sense "yada"
