How to praise (Part 3)

"glory in His name" - this word has been translated "to shine," "to praise," "to boast," and even "to act foolishly (or like a madman)"

The idea here is that this is an intense, crazy kind of praise. This kind of praise is going to have an outward expression, it's going to shine off of us, it's going to radiate off of us. It's going to cause pride and respect for our God to well up in us. This kind of praise will so consume us that it will turn us into crazy people. Those who truly "rejoice" in God will be "acting foolishly" as they "seek after" God. The kind of praise that results from the presence of God strong in our midst is the kind that allows us to experientially know Him IN THE MOMENT, that allows us to engage Him with our hearts and our minds, focus solely on Him as it well up inside of us to the point of breaking and we burst forth in crazy praise.
