spiritually blind
O.. Saul was persecuting the church, he was going to different towns and arresting people who believe in and was following Jesus... Saul was unable to see the truth of Jesus he was spiritually blind... and when Saul had an encounter with Jesus on the way to Damascus, saul became physically blind. It is like God made it visible what saul's heart and spirit were like... blind. And when this happened it was like Saul then realised he was spiritually blind... cause when he got to Damascus he fasted and prayed... he wanted to be healed of this blindness.
Spiritual blindness is curable by Jesus... it happened to Saul... as he was praying Ananias came and laid hands on him and prayed... and asked Holy Spirit to fill Saul.... Suddenly something like fish scales fell from Sauls eys and he could see.
a.. When Jesus points something out in my life.. an area of blindness in my life... i have a choose to make... either ignore it, which would then allow me to drift further and further away from Christ... or to take it sersiously... to spend time asking God for healing of it... spend time focusing on Christ fully, even fasting... seeking God with all of me... not just spirit, but mind, body and soul as well... Jesus needs to be the centre of all of me, other wise spiritual blindness may creep in, and affect my life/ministry even when i think i am doing what God has called me to.
Spiritual blindness can be cured if we are willing to humble ourselves... and realise that we are wrong and repent... Jesus is longing for us to be close with Him.
