no shortcuts in worship

David refused to offer something to God that cost him nothing, how often do we give God the bare minimum in our worship? when was the last time we "left it all on the floor" for God? when was the last time we poured all of ourselves INTO sacrificing for God, and when was the last time we took that whole-hearted preparation and fully poured OUT in service to Him? the only "reasonable" way to worship God (Romans 12:1) is to offer our whole bodies as living sacrifices to Him... it doesn't sound like there's much room for slacking, low-quality, half-hearted, or absentminded worship for followers of God
