prepare the way
the scriptures foretold of someone in the desert calling out... prepare the way for the Lord.... John the Baptist was this man... however the prophecy didnt end there.. John the Baptist isnt tce only one who has been called and release to do so....
each one of us live in a "desert" ... we may not live in a physical desert... but we live in communities that are deserts spiritually... some more than others.... we are the voice in the desert to the people around us... we need to call out to them to prepare the way of the Lord, we need to tell them that they are loved unconditionally, when all they know is conditional love at best or even. abuse which has been called love. we need to tell people there is freedom from addiction, abuse, sin, death, we need to tell them there us healing available from emotional, physical mental and spiritual wounds... this is the good news for our communities, our friends.... not just that there sin is forgiven, for most wont even understand what that means or know what sin is.... for they have have grown up in an environment that doesnt acknowledge God in any thing, a. Christian to them is just some one who just follows a whole bunch of rules, cause thats what they've been told to do, they dont know that a Christian is someone who is in a real relationship with Jesus, and that relationship with Jesus transforms that person....and they wont know unless we tell them.... but not only are we to tell people we need to show them... show them a life that is totally different to what they know, show them what unconditional love is, to show them what life is like free and totally healed... this is our call.... out to the desert we live in... to prepare the way for the Lord....
