A Perfect Go-Between
We all have had moments of anger and times when we felt it toward God, or at least tempted to blame Him. Job feels like God is destroying him and still responds correctly on one regard by still taking it to him. Too often our angry resentment leads away from God but Job is lead to confront God.
I especially love the clear and explicit cry for a mediator. When going before the judge, it is never recommended that you represent yourself. You need a defender to plead your case. Someone who has been given the right to go to the bench and present your case. I love how this OT verse points us again to our need for Jesus, the one who can not only present is blameless before God, due to His blood on our behalf, but the one who is our witness on high and as the jury foreman will inform the judge that the verdict is NOT GUILTY!!!
