Bittersweet
Moses is dead now, Joshua is in Charge, they are about to take the promised land.
It's a feeling of accomplishment, but also nostalgia.
"Remember when Moses had to lift up the serpent and heal all of our parents?"
"Remember when Aaron was all like, 'I didn't make it. We just threw our gold jewelry in the fire and this calf jumped out!'"
It's like your childhood. Things were so easy then, no responsibilities, no worries. Even the spankings you got seem funny now. But now you're grown up, and you need to become what you were destined to. Manna was for children, but you're an adult now, so you grow your own food, and hunt your own animals, and take over Nations.
I think for me, the ceasing of the Manna is a signal of a kind of "graduation" of the children of Israel. They've come so far. Watching Israel from Jacob till now was like watching a kid grow up. Tear.
