Hebrews 10:24-25
The "stir up"/"provoking" in vs. 24 means to get to that point of uncontrolled
anger to accomplish things.
1."Considerate" -
A. In this word there is great responsibility.
B. Reminds us that we are part of the body of Christ. We are I this thing
call "church" together.
C. We carry responsibility for each other.
We have to be aware of what is going on inside of each other's life.
D. Lookup, pay attention, & be aware.
2. "Provoke" -
A. Stir each other up to remind them of what we are supposed to be doing.
B. Motivate them to do what God has called them to do.
1. When people ask "what is wrong with the church?" they are placing the
responsibility on someone else.
The question needs to be "What is wrong with me?"
We are supposed to be a visionary, compassionate, obedient, caring,
We like to twist our relationship with God into the "American dream".
This isn't what God had in mind.
2. Our challenge is to bring someone to church with us.
A. How important is it to you for your family & friends to experience
worship?
What effort are you willing to put forth to get them here? This tells you
how important it is.
B. It's important to know how to act with them.
It means that it has to really matter to you that they are here.
C. It means that we have to have worship services that they want to be part
of.
Includes good music, prayer, & preaching of the Word. With emphasis on
preaching of the Word.
It includes singing as you are truly praising God.
It includes praying with true faith.
It includes listening for a Word from God to you personally.
Getting inside the building is to get still, to listen to what God has to say
to you.
D. We have to be involved in building a strong, healthy church.
1. There has to be a unity of the body of Christ. Of one mind, seeking the
mind of Christ.
2. Love -
Romans 13:10 - "Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the
fulfillment of the law."
