i love this passage. face to face connection and communication with God...
i also like the discipline side of it.
Moses made time to go and be with God. he made time from his busy day running the camp and overseeing all the details of the exodus and time in the wilderness to draw aside and speak with God and hear from God.
i love the last sentence too. that after moses finished spending time with God that joshua would linger and stay on. i am sure this is why joshua was chosen to be the next leader, the promised land leader, because he had his own relationship with God.
