a leadership snare
Leaders, do you live in fear of man, or are you actively and deliberately trusting in Almighty God?
Are you more concerned about how your congregation might react to something than you are about following the word? Are you manipulating to get what you want?
For example, are you teaching the unvarnished truth, making difficult decisions, truly shepherding your flock? When is the last time you preached about something controversial? Have you turned your head the other way and installed an elder who doesn't even know the Lord just to fill the spot with someone "capable"?
Fear of man will prove to be a snare. . . A trap laid by the devil. . . Live in truth and be free.
