how to be saved
And he brought them out [of the dungeon] and said, Men, what is it necessary for me to do that I may be saved? And they answered,
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ [give yourself up to Him, take yourself out of your own keeping and entrust yourself into His keeping] and you will be saved, [and this applies both to] you and your household as well. (Acts 16:30, 31 AMP)
First, do you really believe you are in need of salvation? This jailkeeper saw an act of God and Paul's response and understood his need. Do you believe you have sinned and fall short of God's glory? (Romans 3:23)
If your answer is yes, then all you need is to ask Jesus to save you. (Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ [give yourself up to Him, take yourself out of your own keeping and entrust yourself into His keeping)
Seems so simple, yes? But it requires humility, which is so hard for us. Don't let pride hold you back. There is nothing you can do to save yourself. Eternal salvation is a gift, available to all who desire it. Eternal damnation is the default alternative.
