Asking
So often in life i feel like I need to do things for God... In ministry or job or relationships. It strikes me that the Samaritan woman asks like I so often do, How can you ask me for anything? Don't you know who I am? I am lacking. I can't do anything good for God. And yet, he turns it around on her and on me and says, "if you knew who I was, you would be asking me for what I have to give." We put all this focus and worry into what we can do for God, and he turns it around completely and tells us He has something he wants to give us... And it is the best, most fulfilling thing in the world... Relationship with him. If we only seek him.
