Peace is:
~based on God
~state of being we possess
~internal wellbeing
~works from inside out
~dependent on God
~spiritual fruit "for the fruit of the spirit is love joy PEACE..."
Peace is NOT
~based in circumstances
~not something we "get"
~external influence
~from the outside in
~dependent on others
~emotional attitudes
The misconception most believe is, " once (fill in the blank) is in order, I will have peace" when really, "now that I have peace, I can work things out."
Peace must come first!
Peace "makers" or "breakers"
•peace with God- Luke 2:14
•peace within (self)- Luke 1:29
•peace with others- Luke 1:25
Peace when you don't understand
~embrace it BEFORE you understand it!
~listen to what God tells you
~seek Godly counsel from someone wiser
~allow for time to bring perspective and focus
Luke 1:38
"I am the lord's servant" Mary answered. "may it be to me as you have said." then the angel left her.
There will be times when you won't understand what God is doing but you have to trust God's faithfulness.
It is well with my soul.
