I am His home town.
I've been a Christian for more than 26 years. I know the right doctrine. I embrace the right creeds. I am able teach it to others. But as I read this passage I am struck by that it is not others that reject Christ but me. What should be a comfort to Him is a constant struggle when it comes to making His home in me. I have the lack of faith that prevents Him from working. I express the familiarity that leads to contempt. And I am the one most desperately in need of His presence.
