The Call of Abram

The Lord calls Abram to follow him saying he will bless Abram, making him a great nation.

Abram (75 years old) sets out for the land God commands him to go with his wife (Sarai), nephew (Lot), and all their possessions.

Abram in Egypt

Abram goes to live in Egypt while there is a famine in the land. He convinces his wife to lie and say she is his sister.

Pharaoh takes her as his wife, Abram is given much (pretending to be her brother). After the Lord inflicts a serious disease on Pharaoh, Abram is ordered to go away with his wife and all that he has.
