partial obedience
When I read this, it reminds me of our son and how he often obeys...partially. He will do what I ask him to do...with his own twist, just to make the point that he's in control. He obeys--partially.
Moses obeyed partially. If Moses was like my son, he would have defended his actions to God and justified why he did what he did. Or claim that he DID obey.
I pray that I can be calm but firm and consistent with my kids--and teach them obedience with appropriate consequences as God did with the Israelites.
