Christ gave us a "living hope" when we accept Him and an inheritance into the kingdom - and inheritance that cannot be destroyed and one that is reserved for sons and daughters of the king. By accepting Christ's invitiation to salvation, we become the sons and daughters of the king.
The trials we now face in our day to day living are temporary, and depending on how we face these trials will lead us to greater and deeper riches in heaven. In addition, our present suffering proves our faith and gives glory to God through Christ Jesus.
