living X-rated

Sex, fortune tellers, burning your kids at the stake....sounds like a rated R show! Or maybe rated X!
Sounds like what goes on today!

Yes, sex is the thing that sells...commercials on TV, box office tickets, books, music, pornography...sad to say, but true.
And God has lots of advice about it in these chapters!

In worshipping the god Molech, they were known to offer their children to him / it as a sacrifice, some believe they would burn them as a sacrifice!

The Lord said to Moses, “You must also tell the people of Israel these things: ‘If a person in your country gives one of his children to Molech, that person must be killed. It doesn’t matter if he is a citizen or a foreigner living in Israel; you must throw stones at him and kill him. (Leviticus 20:1, 2 NCV)

God doesn't take abusing our children---His children lightly! Kill em!

You say, but we would never burn our children at the stake...
Oh, you think not?
They are sold on the black market for sex!
Child pornography is rampant!

They are left home alone while mamas getting drunk in a bar,
Or daddy's selling drugs on the street.
They get burned on the street as soon as they're old enough to do the same stuff!
So yeah, we are burning our kids!

We abort them before they even have a chance! We ARE killing our children!
They are sacrificed for selfishness!

And doesn't everyone want to know their fortunes? Looking to the stars, searching their sign, seeking fortune tellers, paying big money to know what the future holds!

“ ‘I will be against anyone who goes to mediums and fortune-tellers for advice, because that person is being unfaithful to me. So I will cut him off from his people. (Leviticus 20:6 NCV)

It shows a lack of faith in Him when we turn to other things....And rebellion towards Him, when we seek another to satisfy our empty souls.
Go to Him and Him alone!
He doesn't charge an arm and a leg and He doesn't lie!

We wonder, how did we get here! To the point of sacrificing our children, of becoming involved in illicit sex, perverted sex, wrong sex, of turning to other gods and fortune tellers? Rebellion!!!! When we rebel against God we are choosing to follow Satan. He warps and twists our minds to believe its somehow justifiable to do these things! It starts our small, with a peek, with a taste, a snort, and pretty soon it's blown into full blast addictions! Pretty soon we'll sacrifice even our children, to social services, to prostitution, to neglect and abuse, just to have our addictions fulfilled!

People did not think it was important to have a true knowledge of God. So God left them and allowed them to have their own worthless thinking and to do things they should not do. (Romans 1:28 NCV)

So yeah, things were rated X back then too, and still are! Double snd triple X!

They needed a savor. They had their sacrifices of bulls and goats, birds and lambs and such...it cleaned them up for awhile. But only for so long.

But we have Jesus! He not only cleans us up.... He changes us! He creates in us new hearts! Changed once for all! For good! Forever!
Something bulls and goats could not do!

There is no excuse for living X rated.
We have POWER from on high.
And if we don't grab a hold of it, there is power from below that will gladly grab a hold of us!
