Ignorance is Not Bliss

A friend of mine questioned why we really need to obey God's command. I surmised she most likely thinks they are just recommendations on how to live. Another friend of hers explained it was similar to the rules in playing a game. We have to have boundaries so we can have a sure way of playing the game. I took it a step further by saying when we do not obey God's commands, we risk getting into trouble and messing up our lives. I gave examples by quoting some of the commandments and asked her what would or could happen when we don't comply. She seemed to have gotten the idea. Today she has chosen to believe that the Bible is not really holy or truly inspired by God. She and her hubby have decided to believe instead that it is full of errors, so they won't be reading it.any time soon. Instead they choose to read the writings of atheists and agnostics which try to disprove God and His Word. The wife still comes to a Lifegroup and feigns to be a follower of Christ. She has decided to no longer be friends with me. I suppose I'm the one who is toxic to her relationship with...her husband. She is afraid of sounding like me when she talks to her husband, so she keeps a very large distance away frm me.

Having the gift of prophecy, I was shown by God in a dream that these people were indeed toxic to my lifegroup because they were trying to spread their doctrine. I prayed for the Lord to dismiss them from my group so their false doctrines could not be spread, and sure enough He did. He also revealed the facade of humility and friendliness were efforts to manipulate me into joining them in their false doctrine. In another dream God showed me that they are headed for much tragedy and trauma. He showed me how the enemy's forces will eventually take them down. I am no longer in a position to warn them, so I pray. I pray that their blind eyes will be opened to see the darkness around them.

Not believing God's Word is true does not excuse us from the consequences of living outside of God's commands. Believing in many ways to God outside of Jesus Christ, my "friends" have decided to go down the road which THEY think is less travelled.

I am watching and praying for them. God never makes mistakes. His laws are absolute nd final. The good news is His grace is sufficient to forgive us our sins if we only humble ourselves to TRULY follow Him by placing HIM and HIS WORD first in our lives. It will make the difference of a blessed life lived for the glory of God or a prideful life headed for destruction.
