As God went before the Israelites in pillars of fire and cloud, He will prepare your way. When the apostles needed to replace Judas Iscariot, they sought the Lord and didn't rely on their own limited thinking.
When you go your own way, the journey is difficult. How often do we plunge head first into a direction without asking the Lord? Or if we ask the Lord, do we become impatient for an answer or confirmation and proceed without Him? Or do we make our own plans without consulting Him and then ask Him to bless those plans? Let the Lord go before you and prepare your way. Follow His lead.
