2 kinds of blindness

There are 2 kinds of blindness:
1. Physical blindness:
Physical disabilities and suffering are not a result of sin. For example if a mom and dad give birth to a special needs child, don't automatically think they are being punished because they sinned. There sometimes is a link between sin and suffering, but that is not not always the case. Jesus severs that link. Sometimes people endure suffering to bring glory to God.
Job's friends thought he had lost everything and everyone in his life because he sinned, but Jesus said it was the other way around. No sinning had brought this distress on job. God used Job's distress to make him a stronger servant of God. Job's wrongly assuming friends were actually the ones, who in their quick judgement, sinned.
In times of suffering, grace and prayer is the best response.
2. Spiritual blindness:
This is the worst kind of blindness, but it can be healed. Some are blinded by a closed system universe (a universe with no Creator). Others are blinded by their religion (IE the Pharisees. They were upset with Jesus for healing someone on the Sabbath day).
Those who reject Jesus are blind. Receiving our spiritual sight requires the miraculous intervention of Jesus.
