Presentable
This verse stands out to me. In all of this that's going on, Joseph took the time to make himself presentable. So many times we go to God without changing something that we have on (like jealousy or anger), and we don't take the time to make ourself presentable to God. I believe that if Joseph hadn't taken the time to make himself presentable for Pharaoh he might not have been received or taken seriously. I wonder if we don't take the time to change our ways or make ourselves pleasing to God does He take us seriously? Why should He? If we come to God any old way without changing, after awhile does He think "well they haven't really made an effort, why should I listen to them?" I am learning that I need to take time to repent and change before asking God for something. I want Him to know that I am truly serious.
