Do I want 110 or 220 ?

The Lord said to Moses, “Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil from crushed olives. That oil is for the lamps so that these lamps may never go out. (Leviticus 24:1, 2 NCV)

God wanted pure oil of pressed olives
for the light that was to burn continuallly. Hmmm...

...Is my lamp burning continually? Is my light shining for all to see all of the time ? Is it bright enough or just embers?

I need that pure oil! That EVOO, (extra Virgin olive oil, that is symbolic for the Holy Spirit,) without it my lamp will not burn! Without the power of the Holy Spirit I will burn on low,
Eventually I may burn out.

Aaron must always keep the lamps burning on the lampstands of pure gold before the Lord. (Leviticus 24:4 NCV)

We burn out when we have a weak foundation.
It must be a foundation made of PURE GOLD!
Virgin olive oil burning on a pure gold lampstand!
Sounds like a good set up!

We burn out when we try to do stuff on our own power.
Our cheap oil is not good enough!
The diet fails.
There's another puff on a cigarette
The attitude goes south.

Oh I wish I'd learn this and quit trying to do stuff on my power!
My 110 watts is no match for His 220

Yet I think I can! Will power! I must have WILL Power!!
Yeah right!
Wish power is more like it!
I need REAL Power If I don't want to nosedive!

If I want to be an effective christian...I better buy the best oil..
It is costly, but it's worth it!

It will cost my life. Am I willing to die and allow Christ to burn in me? Burn continually. Set me on FIRE?

Let's read this one more time...
The Lord said to Moses, “Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil from crushed olives. That oil is for the lamps so that these lamps may never go out. (Leviticus 24:1, 2 NCV)

Never go out!
Never leave!
I'll take THAT OIL!
