Spiritual Prostitution
Might this not also be a great analogy for the church? The Lord has returned to heaven and on the day appointed he will return. In the mean time the world seduces us to turn from the path paid out before us. It offers morsels of pleasure- TV, Books, Movies, activities that bring pleasure but devour our souls.
It amazes me the activities, shows, and things "Christians" openly participate in today with not even a blush. Laughing and making light of things done in secret and in the darkest part of mans heart.
