Christ Rules

Lord thank you for leading me to this verse. I MUST decrease. HE must Increase!

This means in EVERY area of my life. I see where I have decreased and let you in and trusted you to take over many areas of my life. But I must decrease and You must increase in ALL areas.

One particular area that I struggle with is the battlefield of the mind. Your Word tells me to let the mind of Christ dwell in me. I know you dwell in me, but I don't always dwell in you concerning my thoughts. I continue to pray, "Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight." For what's in my meditations of my heart is the same as my thoughts. My thoughts GIVE power to or TAKE power away from my Faith, and without Faith, it is impossible to please God.

Concerning my thoughts. They can be thoughts of fear, anxiety, negativity, what if's, depression, sometimes mean things because someone was mean to me or hurt my feelings. However, I know the Word says that Believers are to turn the other cheek. The Word also says that believers should not be so easily offended. Finally, if nothing else, because we are human and do get angry, at least the word says IF we get angry, sin not and get over before the sun goes down, which I guess means as soon as possible....But as far as those other thoughts I have at times, the Word says "God, has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power of love and a sound mind." So that scripture alone covers them all.

Lord, I thank you for Your Power. I thank you for your Spirit that dwells in me. By the power of the Holy Spirit, in the Name of Jesus I submit my thoughts under Your authority so that I decrease and You increase. Your Word says You are the vine, and I am the branch, If I abide in You, You will bring forth the fruit. Apart from You I can do nothing. Increase. Increase. Increase. Amen!
