Trusting man, Why?

The human relationship with one another is interesting and natural. We develop relationships all the time, whether it is on a personal level or business level.

We rationalize the people we associate with are trust worthy, but in the end, we fine that this is not true.

To often we place more trust in are fellow men and women without any thought of God. We tend to lean on their advice, comfort or care thinking that they will assist in my problem and keep it confidential what we say to them.

The only problem is that humans, whom we trust, are flawed just as you and me. It doesn't matter if it is your spouse, family members, closest friend, business associate, co-workers or the President of the United States. The bottom line is that they can only do so much and because they are flawed humans just as me and you, they will fail us eventually.

Yes it is true, the people I mention above we normally hold them in high esteem thinking that you can trust them, then we they fail the blow is very painful.

So why do we trust man over God? I really don't have an answer myself. Yet I am in the same boat as all of us are.

Is it wrong? Not really, because if they are sent by the Lord, then who are we to question that. We may not like to hear what they say, but usually because of our selfish attitude and we want things to go our way, we tend not to listen. But if some tells us what we want, then we trust them.

Man does not know what he is doing, though we may think we do. Only God, who see all things can be trusted.

God told us in His word "that He would never leave or forsake us, where as our fellow man will be quick to desert us in our time of need. Look what happen in the garden as Jesus was arrested. The 12 men who was the closes to Him, deserted Him.

Peter denied Him three times, Judas Iscariot, betrayed Him and the other scattered just as He told them they would when His time had come. But unlike us, Jesus did not trust as much as He love them.

He knew what was in their hearts and He knew what they would do when it came down to the real nitty gritty when His time was up.

Another smaller example is Job. His three closest friends who came to comfort him during this trying time, accused him of doing wrong with absolutely no evidence of any wrong doing.

These men Job trusted in, yet when he wanted to question God, they were like a pack of wolves attacking and accusing him of wrong doing. Even Job's wife said "why don't you curse God and die".

The people closest to Job, let him down big time and offer no comfort at all.

The scriptures are filled with people who failed people all the time. We see in the lives of King Saul and David, David and Uriah, who was Bathsheba's husband and the list goes on.

The simple fact is no mater how close and how much you love the people closest to you, you need to realize they will fail you from time to time.

The trust we are talking about here is full trust, knowing deep within your heart that you can hand over your complete life over to the Lord and that He will always be with you no matter what. He will never desert you as people will.

If we are to hold any one in high esteem, then let it be the Lord and the Lord only. He is our refuge and shelter.

He will always be with you in the good times and the bad times.

In conclusion, the simple matter is that us humans are what we we are! Flawed sinful people who needs the Lord to show us how to be trust worthy as He is.

By becoming more and more like Him, then the more others will be able to trust us who devote are time learning from Jesus every thing we can.

It is about taking His teaching and placing them into our every day living, when someone is there watching or if we are alone, which is a way is oxymoron, because the fact is we are never alone.

God is there watching every thing we do and say.

If you truly want to be trusted, then become more like Jesus, learn from Him.

As flawed as we are, living for Jesus and doing what He shares with us through His teaching, will make us trust worthy. If we half listen and continue is our current ways, then, yes we will fail and will mistrusted.

It is a choice, you can trust man or trust God and allow Him to change us to be the trust worthy person we can be by following all His ways.
