Filling The Gaps

People fet preoccupied with the world and create gaps, they get mad at the pastor and create gaps (however they come there is the certainty that gaps will arrive within the church)

--the text says that they were never with the body to begin with

--the text also states that the gap will be filled.

The question then is not whether or not you are a gap filler but what gap it is that you have been ordained to fill?

--you're not here to punch a card and say that you attended church that week.

Dont be so audacious as to say thay you've blessed God with your presence on this day.

We need people who've been with the body. Not those who come late and only for the good times, but those who have been here through thick and thin.

--Peter knew that there were two men that had met the qualifications of the Christ. Having MET and FOLLOWED the Christ in person, and diligently since the beginning. That there would again be 12 again, as the Christ had ordained it.

--Matthias was selected in this process: 1. Proposing to elect 2. Praying 3. Casting lots 4. Seeking God's revelation 5. Asking for God's blessing over Matthias

Matthias had been there following the group for the long haul, from baptism to crucifixion and beyond. It was God's Will. And not every position is meant to be glamorized and talked about. It was not a competition between Justus and Matthias

Some people get angry when the lot doesnt fall to them; they ought to remove their Ego which has replaced their decision to serve God.

And when the lots fell to Matthias, he answered. --He did not say to the Apostles, "Thank you for your nomination. But let me pray about it."

When you are called to serve, you serve.

"And I will be with you always, and to the ends of the Earth"
