-We should love God and always do what He has required of us
-God will make us prosperous and successful if we do everything He commands by meditating on what those commands are
-Those who obey God and do what He says are like a house whose foundation is built in rock. When a storm and flood hit, the house will not shake
-God blesses those who hear AND obey His word
-God listens to those who are godly and do His will, not sinners
-If we love Jesus, we should keep His commandments
-Those who love Jesus obey His teachings. In return, God will love them and be with them
-We should obey God, rather than humans, when they conflict
-We should obey authority (when not conflicting with God) since God has placed them in their seat of authority
-We also need to obey our parents and honor them so we may have a long life
-We should obey authority so their job is easier, not harder since then there would be no benefit for us
-We need to not only listen and know what God says, but also do it
-God's commandment is this: believe in Jesus and His sacrifice and love everyone. Those who follow this have God in them as evidenced by receiving the Holy Spirit
-We can know we love others by loving God and obeying Him
