Genesis flood/
What a great thing that the Lord remembered Noah and his family. After all the flooding, they still had to wait to let the waters recede. Wait they did and then they were able to get off the ark. Then the Lord made a covenant with man- he promised to not destroy the Earth again with a flood- everytime we see a rainbow we should remember this promise. What/Who are we that the Lord should make us a promise like this? We are his beloved children and he loves us in a way that is beyond our knowings.
Noah gets drunk and one son gets cursed while two others get blessed because of the way things were handled. I find this passage a bit confusiong. Obviously drunkenness is seen as a sin- maybe procrastination and not immediate action is also the lesson to be taken away from this small passage?
We are introduced to many descendants of Noah's and his 3 boys and we are told how the different languages were made by God- in the Tower of Babel section.
In the final sections of Chapter 11 we are introduced to Abram and his barren wife Sarai.
Dear Lord and Maker of All,
Thank you for today, help me to see you in all that there is in this world. Help me to live my life in a way that brings glory and honor to your name. Help me to bring up my boys so that they will be men of your Word. AMEN
