When I look at this, I think of Isaiah 43:2; When thou passest through the waters, I will be with be with thee and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee...
He doesn't say "if", He says, "when", but he also says we will not be burned or consumed, or smell like smoke, because He is with us.
Wow!!! We can never ask for more from our God.
