authority

It really comes down to authority. Whose authority am I under? Culture's? Friends'? My own? Or God's?

Whose value system am I operating under? What the world says is important? What my friends accept? What feels good and right and suits me the best? Or what God says?

In the end my life's impact will be determined by the standard I subscribe to.

I pray that I will continue to strive to place myself under God's authority.

"Gracious God, I place myself under Your Authority today. I will value what you value and resist what you say is of no value. Whether I like it or not, or believe differently, You standard will be mine. Because You have proven to be trustworthy and I believe You have my best interests at heart. Amen!"
