Exercising faith
I love that this verse in the amplified version so clearly spells out what my Christian life should be. It's a combining of God's promises and our diligence in growing. We are called to exercise our faith. God equips us, then calls us to action. We can't just step back and say, God will just work this in me... There is a calling to act on what he gives us. Salvation, and love, and faith is given to us, and now I must diligently exercise my faith in all the ways that follow in this passage. I often forget that action is necessary for growth, and it's such an important reminder to read this passage.
