I know that You sit on Your throne and that Your hands are power. Nothing can go undetected from Your eyes. Nothing is hidden. You formed the earth and everything in it. You formed the heavens further than my eyes can see. It is mysterious how you are able to do all these things. But it is a mystery I do not need to solve. I only need to believe! You are God!

You know of every situation that has happened, is happening, and will happen in my life. Truly my life is in Your hands! I do not know of a better place to be! Yesterday, I was told I needed surgery. My reproductive organs need to come out. I am OK with that because I do not wish to have any more children. The surgery isn't something that I am worried about. It is the waiting that wears on me. Father, I can't help but chuckle at myself when I think that 6 days of waiting will be difficult. The children of Israel had to wait 40 years for their parents to die before they could enter the Promise Land.

You took care of them. They did not want for food or protection. You didn't even let their clothes or shoes wear out. Their children had to wander with their parents for 40 years. You took care of all of them. Even though the parents had rebelled and grumbled against You, You still cared for them. Their life was hard, but it was hard because they made it hard.

I pray to You now that I never be like those You brought out of Egypt. I pray that I be a loving and faithful daughter. This is something that I will need help with. It is in my nature to sin. I do not want to sin and disappoint You. My goal is to be pleasing, everyday, to You!

Today is a beautiful day. Today is a day You have made! You continue to give me a fresh start to please You! I am very thankful. I do not want to wander for 40 years. I want to be pleasing today!
