Leavened bread allowed in a sacrifice

Lev. 7:13 With the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving, he shall present his offering with cakes of leavened bread.

I've read the Bible through numerous times, but until today I have never caught the fact that in certain sacrifices, God allowed leavened bread.
