Does my offering stink?

give the Lord offerings made by fire. These may be from your herds or flocks, as a smell pleasing to the Lord. These may be burnt offerings or sacrifices for special promises, or as gifts to him, or as festival offerings. (Numbers 15:3 NCV)

I'm a person that appreciates a gift. I'll be honest, I like nice gifts. I mean I appreciate any gift really, but I can tell when someone
splurges. It makes me feel loved.

Now when my grandkids go to the dollar store I oooh and awww as if they'd spent a fortune, because to them, they have! But if my grown children pick my up something there, well.... it's different you know! Like, maybe they wanted go cheap on mom.

I like to feel like I'm worth a little effort, you know. That what I do for them is appreciated.

The Lord does like gifts too. He likes it when you bring something that cost you something. Not a cheap gift, but
Extravagant.

Now you don't have to give Him something that cost you currency, but that it cost YOU!

Like your heart. Not just the corner of it, but your whole heart.
How about your soul, He wants to commune with you,. He LIKES you!
Your will would make a nice gift!
If you give Him your will, He'll give you His!
And you devotion would be an extravagant gift.

When He looks at your gift you don't want Him wrinkling up His nose..
" oh, another one giving me their leftover time.." Everyone gives that!
But how about your best time.. Your quality time!

I know you like gifts too!
We all do. Even God!
