Reconciliation to the one that loves you most
Scripture reference: Hosea 2:16 “In that day declares the Lord, “you will call me husband’, you will no longer call me “my master.”
We all are guilty of committing adultery against God. I believe that this occurs when we feel that we are obligated to live righteously, but our hearts are not committed to God and holiness. There is a difference in serving or doing because you have to vs. serving or doing because you want to. God desires for us to serve Him and live in holiness because we love Him, because He first loved us. There is an intimacy when you spend time with your spouse vs. you master. The things that you once did for your master, suddenly change and you take joy and pride in doing them because you are now doing them for your spouse. God is our perfect significant other, He is our covering, provider, and protector. He is caring, gentle, and the lover of our soul. He desires us to love Him with all of our being. If we did this and tried to comprehend just how much He loves us and desires our love in return, then keeping His commandments would not be a task, but we would experience pleasure in keeping his commandments. We must be careful that we understand this, because it is far easier to be faithfully committed to your spouse than to your master. I feel that God is doing as He commanded Hosea to do and go take back his adulterous wife, and bless her. God has forgiven us for being unfaithful and he desires reconciliation with us. Will you be reconciled?
