Gen 1:21.........he will save his people
Mat 1:21.........he will save his people from their sins. This is a statement that lays heavy on my heart. Jesus went through 9 months of human reproduction, was born, educated, worked, all until he was baptized as an adult, just so he could die for me! If you sit back and think about that for a while, really think about it, your heart rate elevates and your blood pressure rises, a little perspiration may develop as you realize the depth of the end of verse 21......."he will save his people from their sins." Wow, if I remember correctly, he didn't even break a sweat, flinch, probably didn't have an elevated heart rate based on his demeanor described through out the gospels. He only became mad at people who disgraced, disobeyed, and or disrespected his father God. If I ever had the chance to chat with Jesus, I probably could not of spoken out of sheer awe, but if I could of, I would ask him how does one thank somebody for dying in your place as I really do not know how to address someone with that thought. I thank Jesus every day for what he did for me and all the other ones of "his" people. I can't help but wonder how I would do it face to face? I have to find out and soon. Time is running out! I want to be ready in every way!
