All Blessings Reside in Obedience

In Deuteronomy 5 and 6, obey and synonyms for obey appear more than 10 times! Yet each time, there is a promise of blessing for us and the generations to follow. All the blessings in the Word and heart of the Lord reside in our obedience to Him. This does not mean being a legalistic person, but examining our own lives and finding out who we are obeying in our lives.

God promises a long and blessed life for those who obey HIm

Listening to God is the key to all blessing in the bible. We have to trust that God is smarter than us, even when we don't feel like it.

Those who don't obey are the ones are not receiving the full blessing of Christ and they will always have to wonder if their lives are still under a curse because of that disobedience.

You can still go to heaven without receiving the full blessings of God because it is because of Jesus we are right with God, but why are you limiting yourselves? What live only a half-hearted life, when abundance is only around the corner? The truth is, I am ruled by my emotions and what I think. I trust God, but only at arms length because I am selfish. If I am to break this, I must start with obedience because I move, then God moves.
