Motivation is key. Why do I do what I do? Why do I pray? Why am I nice to others? Why do I try to help people? If I do these things for my benefit, my actions are worthless. When I do these things as an act of faithful obedience to God, He is glorified and blesses.
Why is the church (in many places) dying today in the US? We are serving for the wrong reasons. We tend to be more worried about policing others and indoctrination than loving God and our neighbor as ourselves. Come on church...let's repent...turn our focus toward Jesus and get about His business. He will handle ours! Freedom is waiting...
