Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

Guard your heart. . . A friend said that to me in October. I remember thinking,
"What does that mean?" Here I am, 5 months later, still pondering WHAT does that look like? HOW does that happen? My heart is so bruised and battered.

Out of the overflow of my heart comes all of my speech and actions.

"But what comes out of the mouth gets its start in the heart."Matt.15:18MSG

Some is in line with God's word, some is not. That which is not, must be taken captive to the Word of God.

"We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ." 2Cor.10:5MSG

I need to hide myself in Christ, where I will be protected. Oh Jesus! Show me how!

Lord, I want to be healthy. I want to be rid of the poison that lives in my heart causing outbursts of bitterness and rage. Help me to apply the truth of Your Word to the lies that seep into my deceitful heart. Heal me God. Forgive me for dwelling on the lies instead of going to battle with my sword - Your Word. Thank You for Your revelation. Thank You for Your unfailing Love.
