Try reading verses 8-12 with the personal pronoun 'I' rather than 'you'.

"I am hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; I am perplexed, but not in despair; I am persecuted, but not abandoned; I am struck down, but not destroyed.
I always carry around in my body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in my body.
For I, who am alive, am always being given over to death for Jesus sake, so that His life may be revealed in my mortal body.
So then, death is at work in me, but life is at work in others."
