Godly Sorrow vs. Worldly Sorrow
Isn't it fascinating that God sometimes calls us to repentance through sorrow? That Godly sorrow produces repentance which leads us to salvation? Worldly sorrow produces fear, anger, bitterness, resentment, depression, even death. Godly sorrow leads to repentance...salvation...it leaves no regret. It leads to earnestness, eagerness to clear yourself, indignation,alarm (which we so often avoid!), longing, concern, readiness to see justice done! Bring on the Godly sorrow, and give me the courage not to run from it!
