the Resurrection
Early on a Sunday morning, a group of women were walking on the dark streets toward Jesus. They wanted to make one last preparation of Jesus' body.
When they got there, they were astonished. The Lord was not there. His death clothes were left untouched, and the stone on one side.
Mary had no idea how this had happened. The accounts we get from Matthew, Mark, Luke and John come honestly: they didn't think he would be risen, they didn't know what would happen.
But then, Mary saw two Angels of the Lord, who said, "Woman, who are you looking for?" she then turns around and saw Jesus, and she cries, "Father, Father!". Jesus says, "don't touch me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father."
Jesus was basically saying that you've got to learn to live without my earthly self, even though I'm always there beside you.
The disciples were astonished when they learned that Jesus has risen. They were thrilled and saw Him. Jesus said that if they believed and confessed, they are saved and forgiven, as are any other people.
