The cross expresses the love of God - resurrection demonstrates His power
Jesus predicted His own death and resurrection Matt 6:21
Every time we get up on Sunday and get ready for church, we should remember its the third day - resurrection happened on the third day and we celebrate in remembrance of the events that happened on the third day!
Water baptism - (Romans 6) - Baptism is identification with Jesus. We are buried with Him and we are raised up with Him, and we live in newness of life after that.
Three things to remember about the third day:
** Third day changes everything resurrection brings life!
1. We have been given a new start - salvation brings us a new start, a new life and a new identity!! Transformation is the biggest evidence of resurrection. 2 Cor 5:17
2. Time to get back up again 1 cor 6:14
3. We have been given the victory col 2:14
** Jesus endured the cross because of the Joy set before Him - that we would be restored to the father
