Was Balaam a prophet of God
It was written here that God visited Balaam to ask who his visitors were? It was also written that Balaam inquired of the Lord. Were there others in those days who knew the great God Jehovah and knew him well enough to be a prophet apart from the Israelites?
It's possible that the knowledge of Jehovah being the only true God was not restricted to the Israelites alone. Others too could be serving God in other places.
