PSALM 23

SCRIPTURES:

Psalm 23:1-6 NLT; Ephesians 6:12 NIV84; Proverbs 3:5

The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever.

Ephesians 6:12 NLT

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Proverbs 3:5 NLT

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.

Romans 8:38 NLT

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.

COMFORT, PEACE, REST, WAR, PROTECTION, PROMISES, GUIDANCE.

APPLICATION:

THANKFULNESS.

PRAYER:

Lord you are my shepherd you give me everything I need; rest, peace, strength and you lead me down the right paths so I wouldn't lean on my own understanding , but on you and so I will honor your name. Even when I face tough challenges or look death in the eye, I don't need to be anxious or afraid because you are always walking right beside me protecting me and giving me comfort. You continue to bless me in front of my enemies which are not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. You honor me by selecting me as your own child and giving me your indewelling Holy Spirit. This blessing is overwhelming. I am assured that nothing will separate your unfailing love from me and is always there for me now and forever. And you have promised that I will live with you forever, because of your grace demonstrsted through Christ.
